Exhibit!

Two of my works on display in Morris Hall, the Illustration Building at the Savannah College of Art and Design. These were taken quickly with my cellphone, I plan on going back sometime soon to get better photos of them. :) The top picture was also put on the poster advertising the show for the GNSI Conference next week. Hopefully I'll get a copy of that poster to show you guys.

More Mythical Creatures

My latest project: building the anatomy of Sleipnir. Those legs are getting difficult to work with, but I wanted to make at least one counterpart to my Pegasus illustration this summer, if not more. The muscles will be hard to figure out, but it will be a nice challenge, I suppose. It's difficult to find time to work on him right now, though, with my internship. But that shouldn't be a problem in another week or so. :]

Horse Head Écorché

Aécorché of a horse head, built up from a primitive form, with overlayed muscles. Done in Chavant (medium) for Constructive Animal Anatomy. Completed May 2012.

For those who don't know, "écorché " is a French term meaning "flayed" and is used for artwork (sculptures, illustrations, etc) in which there is no skin, or the skin is being removed somehow.
